During my tenure as Communications Director at FUMC McKinney, I orchestrated a dynamic communications hub that brought together over 20 diverse departments, creating seamless connections between staff and dedicated volunteers. One of my key initiatives was leading a comprehensive website redesign using LiveSite, transforming our digital presence to better reflect the vibrant spirit of our church community. I crafted compelling weekly stories across multiple platforms – from engaging e-newsletters to visual presentations that enhanced our worship experience. Social media became our virtual town square, where I shared meaningful moments and built lasting connections with our congregation and beyond.

One of my proudest achievements was spearheading communications for our capital campaign, which successfully raised nearly $4M – a testament to the power of clear messaging and community engagement.

Beyond the day-to-day communications, I thrived in bringing our community together through special events. Each piece of content I created, whether a newsletter article or social media post, was crafted with our community's story at heart, ensuring every member felt connected to our larger mission.

As the Dallas-area suburbs blossomed around our historic church walls, FUMC McKinney pulsed with modern energy and purpose. While our beautiful building stood as a testament to our deep roots in the community, our congregation's spirit was thoroughly contemporary – active, engaged, and constantly reaching outward. This visual approach helped bridge our rich heritage with our forward-thinking congregation, showing that while our foundations were historic, our heart beat with modern purpose.

Concurrent with my local work, I served as newsletter editor for Grace Children's Hospital in Haiti from 2017-2019, where I helped share stories of hope and healing with supporters worldwide. This role allowed me to extend our community's reach beyond local borders, connecting hearts and missions across continents.
